Care for families of children with Type 1 Diabetes



Dr. Sarah Kimball offers a high-touch service to help children with Type 1 diabetes and their families.  She provides home visits, analysis of blood sugar readings and CGM downloads, carb ratio and pump basal rate adjustments and counseling on nutrition and exercise.  Dr. Kimball delivers comprehensive and individualized adjunctive care on schedules that work for patients and their families.  As a pediatrician who has had Type 1 diabetes for almost 30 years and as the mother of a child with T1D, Dr. Kimball understands the needs and concerns of families with children with T1D. 

Dr. Kimball graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, and received her Medical Doctorate degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her post-doctoral training included a General Pediatrics residency at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore where she continued as a Chief Resident. Dr. Kimball is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and maintains certification by satisfying all the requirements of the Maintenance of Certification program.  Dr. Kimball has served on the Board of the New York City Chapter of JDRF since 2009.
